Creventic Endurance Series GT4 2024 (2) 29.06.2024 Misano World Circuit Summer, sun, sunshine Free practice session We already realised in the free practice session that it was summer. With a track temperature of 50°C, it was a challenge for both the driver and the material. However, this challenge is not a disadvantage for us, because the heat is a problem that affects everyone, so it is balanced. Qualifying Qualifying wasn’t entirely on our side, but we knew from the start that we had a fast race pace. So we started the race in 8th place. Race My team-mate Tobias Mlotzek drove the start of the race. He drove a triple stint straight away and was able to bring the car up to third place. Daniel Kramski then took over the car for a double stint. After that I did my first double stint. The race itself was very calm, since we were in 3rd place, we had enough distance to the car behind us so that it wasn’t dangerous for us. Even with the faster and slower cars on the track, everything went well. So I was able to take the black and white chequered flag in 3rd place and bring home another podium in the Creventic Endurance Series. But not only that, with this result we have now taken the lead in the overall standings of the GT4 class. Now it’s time for the summer break. Nürburgring Endurance Championship GT4 11.05.2024 Pole Position, trotz Missgeschick Free Practice Session Wir haben die NEC als gute Vorbereitung auf das bevorstehende 24 Stunden Rennen angeschaut und sind deshalb mit unserem Aston Martin GT4, auch in der NEC an den Start gegangen und das mit Erfolg. Wir konnten im Training viel Setup Arbeit machen und uns kontinuierlich mit der Konkurrenz messen und schneller werden. Qualifying Das Qualifying lief brillant. Wir hatten uns leider in der Spritmenge fürs Quali verkalkuliert und sind mit zu wenig Sprit losgefahren. So, dass wir am Ende unserer schnellen Runde auf der Start-Ziel Geraden mit leerem Tank ausgerollt sind. Dennoch standen wir nach dieser Miesere auf der Pole Position. Zunächst mit 0.9 Sekunden Abstand auf Platz 2 und schliesslich mit 0.4 auf die 2. . Rennen Das Rennen ging von Platz .1 los. Den Start führte mein Teamkollege Daniel Kramski durch. Der Start verlief ziemlich gut und ich konnte den Wagen in Führung liegend für meinen Stint übernehmen. Wir konnten uns bereits am Start von Platz 4. absetzen und einiges an Luft zwischen und bringen. Die Plätze 2 und 3 waren jedoch beinahe das gesamte Rennen nahe hinter uns. Gegen Ende des Rennens konnten wir uns, dank unserer Strategie, nochmals einen grossen Vorsprung verschaffen und das Rennen auf Platz 1, mit 6.5 Sekunden Abstand auf Platz 2, beenden.

Creventic Endurance Series GT4 2024 (1) 27.04.2024 Mugello Circuit Podium in the season opener Free practice session The practice sessions before the race were mainly about set-up. I already knew the track from the GT3 and the braking and turn-in points are similar in the GT4, in some cases even identical. But what was immediately noticeable was that you can chase the GT4 through the corners much more aggressively and take the bends much more than in the GT3 the week before. However, we all had a fast pace and knew that we would be up there with the big boys in the race. Qualifying My team-mate Daniel Kramski drove the qualifying session. He was able to set us a fast time and put us in 5th place on the grid. Race In the race, I only got to drive in the fifth stint. I was able to take over the car in 4th place and fight my way up to 3rd place in my two stints and build up a gap to the car behind. The race actually went smoothly. We had a brief moment when a car in the Porsche Cup class hit the brakes as we braked into the corner and slid into the front of us. Fortunately, the impact didn’t hit the suspension, so we only suffered minimal damage to the front. In general, however, the race went really well and we’re satisfied to have already secured a podium in our debut in the Creventic with third place.
